24 Women From NTB Victims Of TIP Rescued In Lampung, Police: Some People Are Traumatized
LAMPUNG - Lampung Regional Police (Polda) revealed that 24 women who were victims of criminal acts of trafficking in persons (TPPO) experienced stress and trauma when they were rescued by the police.
Deputy Director of the General Criminal Directorate (Ditkrimum) of the Lampung Police AKBP Hamid Andri Soemantri said the dozens of TIP victims were prospective Indonesian migrant workers (CPMI).
"Some of the CPMI victims that we rescued were stressed and traumatized because they were not allowed to leave the shelter," he said in Bandarlampung, Wednesday, June 7, which was confiscated by Antara.
He also said that apart from not being allowed to leave the temporary shelter of the victims suspected of being TIPs, they were often moved from one location to another.
"The victim is also stressed because he is often moved to a shelter location. These victims are traumatized by the unclear when they will be dispatched abroad," he said.
He said that at this time, to relieve or relieve their stress, the victims were given trauma healing and health checks by Biddokes and the Lampung Police Human Resources Bureau.
"The victims are currently still being kept at the Sub-Directorate IV of the Renakta Lampung Police for further investigation," he said.

He said that while in a temporary shelter in Rajabasa District, Bandarlampung City, these victims received inadequate services at the house.
"The 24 women suspected of being victims of TIP are residents of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). These victims were accommodated in a house in inadequate condition without beds or adequate rest locations," he said.
Previously, the Lampung Regional Police managed to save 24 NTB residents from the criminal act of trafficking in persons in Rajabasa District, Bandarlampung, which is suspected to be a temporary shelter location.
