Grand Highlander Hybrid MAX 2024, Toyota's Strongest SUV Ever Made

Toyota presents a new, larger Grand Highlander for 2024. This three-line mid-range SUV is offered with three choices of powertrains, including a hybrid system that produces 362 dk of power.

For mid-range SUVs, its competitors include Ford Explorer, Kia Telluride, and Jeep Grand Cherokee. However, the family's crossover is more promising to be a multipurpose vehicle because of the third row and more relieved baggage capacity.

Reporting from the global Toyota media room, May 30, the 2024 SUV was designed by Calty Design Studios and assembled exclusively at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing plant in Princeton, Indiana, United States.

The 'Grand Highlander' will serve as a final tool that can take our customers anywhere from school pick-up queues to long weekend trips,' said Lisa Materazzo, vice president of the Toyota Marketing group.

He added that so far Toyota has sold more than 3.3 million Highlanders in the US and hopes that the presence of this new model in the dealers this summer will also be positively welcomed by customers.

As a summary, all Grand Highlanders will come with three powertrains from a balanced and 265 dk-powered 2,4L turbo engine, an efficient 2.5L hybrid with 243 dk, and Hybrid MAX as the 362 dk highest performance variant and at the same time named it the strongest medium size SUV Toyota has ever made.

With a total weight of 2267 kg, the Grand Highlander Hybrid MAX 2024 with a torque of 544 Nm can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/hour within 6.3 seconds. And all the powertrains on the latest Grand Highlander are also equipped with AWD driving options while Hybrid Max comes exclusively with AWD drivers only.

For technology, the 2024 Grand Highlander is equipped with Toyota's latest technology, including Toyota Traffic Jam Assist (Platinum class) technology. The Jam Assist traffic is a radar-based system and cameras that help relieve motorists when driving in the middle of traffic jams.

For prices in the United States, the cheapest variant is in XLE Grand Highlanders 2,4L FWD for 44,405 US dollars or around Rp664 million and the most expensive variant of Hybrid Max AWD for 59,460 US dollars or Rp 889 million.

The Grand Highlander Hybrid and Hybrid MAX also complements two additional Toyota products to achieve the future of Beyond Zero. Beyond Zero is Toyota's vision of achieving carbon neutrality with products, services, and operations.
