Don't Consider Ganjar And Anies Opponents In The Presidential Election, Prabowo: I Think They Are Brothers
JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto said Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan were his enemies if they fought in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). Both of them are considered like brothers.
"If God willing, I will continue to be a presidential candidate, this is not a campaign, yes, if Mr. Ganjar continues to advance, Mr. Anies too, I don't think they are opponents. I consider them my own brothers," Prabowo said while speaking at the MNC Forum LXX or 70 Years at iNews Tower, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, May 30.
At the event, Prabowo said harmony was the key to development in the country. Therefore, a healthy democracy must be prioritized by staying away from mocking each other.
"We should not insult, mock each other. But we must unite towards unity," said the Minister of Defense.

Instead of mocking each other, Prabowo said, democracy in Indonesia should be built with competition that focuses on ideas and is not anti-criticism. All parties must be friendly in developing the country.
"That's why I think that Indonesian democracy should have its own characteristics. Indonesian democracy should not imitate other countries," he said.
"Let us compete well. In terms of ideas and programs. We must not hesitate to embrace each other, be friends with each other," concluded Prabowo.
