Pangdam XVII Cenderawasih Has Not Received Reports Of TNI Shooting Contacts With KKB In Mugi Died 5 Soldiers
PAPUA - Pangdam XVII Cenderawasih Maj. Gen. Izak Pangemanan admitted that until now there have been no reports of gunfire in Mugi, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains.
"Until now, I have not received any reports of a shootout that occurred in Mugi, Tuesday (May 30)," said Military Commander Major General Izak Pangemanan in Jayapura, Wednesday, May 31, as reported by Antara.
He emphasized that currently the condition of the soldiers under the control of the XVII Cenderawasih Military Command and serving in the surrounding Nduga area is still safe.
"Reports from all ranks as of Wednesday (May 31) are safe and under control but in some areas soldiers are asked to always be vigilant," he said.

Soldiers serving under Kodam XVII Cenderawasih are Infantry Battalion 321/GT and in Kenyam on duty is Infantry Battalion 514 SY.
"The units under the XVII Cenderawasih Military Command and serving in the Nduga Regency are only two battalions and if there are troops outside, I don't know about it," he said.
Previously, a shootout between the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) and TNI soldiers took place in Mugi on April 15. As a result of this incident, five TNI soldiers died.
