Garuda Manado-Jakarta Plane Engine Disturbance, Had Released Landas Then Returned To Sam Ratulangi Airport
MANADO - General Manager (GM) of SamRatulangi International Airport (Samrat)Minggus Gandeguai said the Garuda plane with the Manado-Jakarta route had engine problems. The plane could not continue its flight to Jakarta and returned to Samrat Airport, Manado, North Sulawesi (Sulut).
"The plane on the Manado-Jakarta route departs at 08.30 WITA from Manado Samrat Airport," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 31.
Sundays said the Garuda Indonesia GA 607 plane, which took off from Manado to Jakarta, made an emergency landing again at Manado Samrat Airport at 09.28 WITA.
"Thankfully the plane landed well, and all passengers survived," said Sunday.
The plane carrying 88 passengers experienced technical problems when it had flown for about 30 minutes.
Sunday, Gadeguai said there were technical problems, operational constraints, so the Garuda plane returned to Manado.
Sunday, accompanied by Stakeholder Relations, Yanti Pramono, said that according to procedures, his party had alerted fire engines (damkar).
"After landing, passengers are lowered and re-entered the terminal. Grateful that everything is under control. Healthy passengers, that's okay, everything is handled according to procedure," he said.

One of the passengers, Victor Rarung, said after flying for about 30 minutes, estimates over the Gorontalo of the plane seemed to be floating, swayed. The engine seems to be off.
"We panicked, the aircraft felt slow," said Victor.
Before taking off the plane, it was delayed. Supposedly departed at 07.50 WITA, just flew at 08.30 WITA.
"Thankfully we can land an emergency again in Manado. We received information that Samrat Airport is on alert two," he said again.
According to him, the fire engine was seen on standby at the runway at Samrat Manado Airport.
