This Is How The Ministry Of Industry Creates Competent Human Resources
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is collaborating with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, S4C Swisscontact, IHK Trier Germany, GIZ, and Ekonid, to hold the International Workplace Coach Training (In-Company Trainer) Qualification Batch 2 in Makassar, South Sulawesi (Sulsel).
"This program has been running since 2018 with a total of 280 participants out of 15 basic qualifying batches and 14 master qualification batches," said Head of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry Masrokhan in a written statement in Jakarta, quoted Wednesday, May 24.
He assessed that in producing competent industrial human resources, it is necessary to face two challenges, namely technological transformation 4.0 and global competitiveness.
"For this reason, teaching staff must improve their 4.0 competence and increase partnerships with campuses, industry, international certification institutions and our representatives abroad, so that this can be realized immediately," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Center for Industrial Vocational Education Development (PPPVI) of the Ministry of Industry Emmy Suryandari said that this workplace coach training is an important part of the implementation of dual system education that has been carried out so far in order to create industrial human resources that are ready to work and are globally competitive.
"This training also aims to improve the competence of workplace coach pedagogical trainers with international certification from the German Econid, so that workplace coaches in the industry are able to guide students in industrial work practices well, effectively, and efficiently," said Emmy.
Emmy said BPSDMI will continue to encourage the preparation of workplace coaches equipped with international pedagogy and certification skills to ensure the implementation of quality industrial work or internship practices in industrial companies.
In 2023, BPSDMI is known to have held a batch 1 Coach Training which was held on March 6-12 2023 in Tangerang and was attended by 20 participants from the BPSDMI unit industrial partner company.
As for the batch 2 this time, the training will be held for seven days, consisting of five days of training and two days of international certification exams, and followed by 20 teachers, lecturers, and instructors from the Ministry of Industry's vocational education unit industry partner in the Sulawesi region.
