Ganjar Pranowo Raises Global Economic Issues In Political Speech In Bandung
JAKARTA - The issue of the global economy became a political speech for the PDIP presidential candidate, Ganjar Pranowo during consolidation in West Java, Sunday (14/5/2023). In the midst of thousands of people, Ganjar ignites enthusiasm and is optimistic that Indonesia can become a developed country in the world.
"The world's problem is not easy. Economic problems are a problem throughout the world. But if we work together, then Indonesia will become a big country, as predicted by world economists," said Ganjar.
According to world economists, Ganjar continued, Indonesia's economy is expected to grow rapidly in 2045. However, it is possible that Indonesia's economic growth could be accelerated if you look at the current condition of Indonesia.
Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia's economic growth in the first quarter of 2023 under the Joko Widodo administration was recorded at 5.03 percent (yoy). That number is higher than the economic growth of other big countries in the world.
In fact, during the celebration of the G20, many leaders of big countries wanted to meet President Jokowi in person. They want to exchange ideas about how Jokowi advances the Indonesian economy.
"Usually, we see developed countries as greater than us. But today, all the world's great leaders respect our president. Joko Widodo, who is a PDIP cadre," he hatched to the roar of applause from thousands of people.
For example, the economic growth of the United States (US) in the first quarter of 2023 only grew 1.1 percent. Likewise with French economic growth in the first quarter of 2023 which only grew by 0.2 percent.
Indonesia's economic growth in the first quarter of 2023 was also greater when compared to China's economic growth of 4.5 percent. Likewise, compared to South Korea, which only grew 0.1 percent, and Singapore grew by 0.8 percent.
"This is an extraordinary momentum for us to develop and grow as a nation. The way is to work together and unite. If we don't unite, it's over. If we fight, the beatings between the nation's children will be over," he said.
Jokowi, said Ganjar, has laid the foundation for extraordinary development. Only two terms of rule, infrastructure development is carried out quickly and provides many benefits.
In addition, many of Jokowi's programs have succeeded in boosting economic growth. Among them are paying full attention to the MSME sector.

During Jokowi's administration, very light interest loans were awarded, credit recipient access was expanded 8 times, and credit value increased 16 times.
"Don't underestimate MSMEs, because this sector dominates 61 percent of national income. If judged, around Rp9,500 trillion comes from this sector. And they are our brothers, the Marhaenis. That is our goal to work on, if we claim to be a party that defends the little people," he said.
There are about 60 million MSMEs with 120 million people involved in it. Especially in West Java. Ganjar said, West Java is a province with a very extraordinary creative economy. The creative economy and MSMEs thrive in this Pasundan land.
"Pak Jokowi has laid the foundation for extraordinary development. The economy continues to grow well. Well, our next task is to continue, even accelerate the great dreams of the Indonesian nation," he concluded.
