Tinder's New Community Guidelines Prohibit Users From Sharing Conversations To Other Platforms
JAKARTA - Tinder, the world's most popular dating app, announced changes to the Community Guidelines, in order to create good behavior so as to produce the best experience for everyone in the app.
The majority of Tinder members are 18-25 years old, and Tinder is often their first dating experience. To guide those who are younger when starting dating trips, Tinder uses a policy refresher to educate members about healthy dating habits, both online and in real life, "explained Ehren Schlue, SVP of Member Strategy on Tinder in an announcement on its official website.
According to the updating company Guidelines for the Tinder Community will help keep Tinder as a place to have meaningful relationships.
As part of the update, Tinder will remove social handles from public bios, so users cannot post their conversations on other platforms unless they have been approved by the person concerned.
One of the reasons this policy was implemented was that more and more people shared their chats from Tinder to other platforms as a joke.

While you can no longer display your social grip, you can still share your Instagram profile with your partner using Tinder's Instagram integration.
Tinder also prohibits users from promoting products, advertising, selling goods or so on, because Tinder is not a platform for doing business or making money.
In addition, Tinder also makes it clear that one account must be for one person. So, if you have an open relationship, you have to create a separate account for each partner. That is, couples are not allowed to use one account to find a potential partner.
"Tinder supports all kinds of relationships. Those who are in poly and open relationships must create separate accounts for each pair and use the recently released Tinder Relations Type profile feature to show whether they are looking for non-monogamial ethics, open relations, or polyamory," Tinder explained.
