Ministry Of PUPR: The Peak Toll Road Plan Is Still Preparing A Study From The Initiators
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Bina Marga revealed that the plan for the Puncak toll road is currently in the stage of preparing a study from prospective initiators.
"We need to convey that at this time there are prospective initiators who are interested in proposing investment on the Puncak toll road. Prospective initiators are preparing a study that may be submitted to the government in the near future, namely the Ministry of PUPR for us to review," said Director of Free Roads Obstacles at the Directorate General of Highways. Ministry of PUPR Triono Junoasmono or called Yongki reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 10.
Yongki said that the network planned from the Bogor - Ciawi - Sukabumi (Bocimi) toll road entrance will be able to continue to the top and penetrate Cianjur.
"So later the Puncak toll road is a toll road, where the top toll road network is not separated and will be connected to existing toll roads and penetrate directly to Cianjur," he said.
However, what will be proposed in all or in stages is what the Ministry of PUPR is waiting for. In general, toll road construction will be carried out in stages according to a feasibility study and this is what the Ministry of PUPR is waiting for from prospective initiators.
"If we look from Caringin to Cianjur, approximately 52km is divided into several stages or sections with an estimated five sections. We are waiting for the stages from the prospective initiator," said Yongki.

According to him, this proposal is very good because if you look at it in the hope that it can help reduce congestion in non-toll roads in Puncak. Hopefully, if this is approved, we can carry out the construction.
The estimated value of the project is temporary if you look at the preparation of the study of around Rp. 25 trillion. This figure is still tentative because this figure is not the Ministry of PUPR that issued it, but from prospective initiators.
"Certificates are still submitting draft estimates or draft estimates, the details will be submitted back to us later. Hopefully they will be able to resolve this in the near future," Yongki said.
