Electric Vehicles Stuck In Traffic? Don't Worry, Here's The Explanation
JAKARTA - The presence of electric vehicles is increasing in urban areas, such as in Jakarta. In carrying out daily activities, electric vehicles are an attractive choice because they are environmentally friendly and cost-effective.
However, congestion in urban areas is commonplace and is often a concern for electric vehicle users. What if the battery is drained when the vehicle stops in a state of silence?
Fortunately, that is nothing to worry about according to Hyundai Motors Indonesia's Head of Service Planning & Strategy, Suprayetno.
"In the midst of traffic jams, the condition of idle engines and driving motors on electric cars does not work optimally, so electricity consumption is lower than when the car is running," said Suprayetno when contacted by VOI some time ago.
Even so, according to him, electric vehicle users are still advised to pay attention to the use of battery power. If the battery is running low, immediately look for the nearest charging site.
