Police Destroy Narcotics Evidence Worth IDR 10 Billion In Bogor
Bogor Resort Police together with the Bogor District Attorney's Office (Kejari), West Java, destroyed evidence of drugs worth Rp. 10 billion consisting of 5.3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 5,000 pills of ecstasy.
Bogor Police Chief AKBP Iman Imanuddin led drug destruction at the Police Headquarters, Cibinong, Bogor, Saturday, May 6.
A total of 5.3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine packaged in five plastic packages and 5,000 ecstasy pills were destroyed by mixing with blue cleaning fluid and destroyed using a blender.
Iman explained that if it was converted into drugs, the evidence brought in by suspect JK (43) from North Sumatra was worth Rp. 10 billion.
"If it is assumed that the price in the market, we have managed to secure Rp7.5 billion for methamphetamine and Rp2.5 billion for ecstasy, so the evidence that is secured is a total of Rp10 billion," he explained as quoted by ANTARA.
The disclosure of the drug trafficking case, he said, was carried out when the police carried out Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2023 in the Parung District, Bogor Regency, with the suspect JK who is a resident of Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra.
According to Iman, the suspect JK in his confession has twice brought drug packages from North Sumatra to be sold in Bogor Regency and its surroundings using the "cash on delivery" (COD) method.

"The network itself is the North Sumatra network and Bogor Regency. Then the evidence is planned to be circulated in Bogor Regency, Bogor City, Depok City, and its surroundings, including Jakarta," explained Iman.
The police believe that JK is not the sole perpetrator of drug trafficking from North Sumatra so that his party is still developing it.
"We are still investigating the international network. We are still pursuing other suspects in the North Sumatra region," he said.
