Construction Of Thamrin And Monas MRT Stations Reach 56.2 Percent
JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta explained the progress of the MRT phase 2A construction which began several years ago. The work on the CP 201 package which includes the construction of Thamrin Station and Monas Station reached 56.2 percent, based on calculations as of April 25.
Currently, the construction of Monas Station has entered the stage of casting the emergency access ladder (emergency access) of the main substation, casting the peron wall (platform), bore pile work for launching box jacking entity Jalan Museum, casting the wall of the ventilation tower, in the substation, waterproofing and concrete backfilling work of the main substation, installation of station water disposal pipelines, and installation of station cable lines.
Meanwhile, at Thamrin Station, the work being carried out includes excavation and casting of the north side slab roof, excavation of the station's southern side slab concourse, station's southern side grouting jet, and work on the installation of the south and north side of the roofing slab.
"As of April 25, 2023, the tunnel drilling machine (TBM) 1 has succeeded in reaching the HI Roundabout Station and breaking through the wall on March 20, 2023," said PT MRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head Ahmad Pratomo in his statement, Friday, May 5.
Furthermore, TBM 1 will be dismantled and then transferred to the north side of Monas Station to drill the southbound to Harmoni Station. Meanwhile, the tunnel 2 drilling machine (TBM-2) has started construction work on the northbound tunnel to Harmoni Station and has succeeded in building a length of about 456 meters (304 rings).

As for CP 202 (Large-Magga Besar Harmoni-Sawah Station) after officially starting on July 18, 2022, as of April 17, 2022, it has reached 12.338 percent with work coverage including protection and relocation of utilities, canal hacking work, demolition of old JPOs, demolition of old Harmoni bus stops, and work on the pit Transjakarta pile Harmoni test.
In addition, the development of CP 203 includes construction work at Glodok Station and Kota which has reached 32.43 percent with work at Glodok Station including continuing the excavation of middle slab/concourse slabs, construction of a top slab/roof slab, and ground improvement preparation for the launch of a tunnel drilling machine.
"At City Station, it includes the construction work of the east side of the D-Wall and the current investigation of the City TPO structure," he explained.
Meanwhile, the procurement of CP 205 railway systems and trackwork (train and rail systems) has been carried out with an international competitive bidding.
"CP 206 rolling stock (neighbors) has been market sounded and adjusted the number of train series from 14 series to seven series. Meanwhile, CP 207 automatic core collection (payment system), call for tender will be held in June 2023," explained Pratomo.
Phase 2A MRT Jakarta will connect the HI Roundabout Station to the City along about 5.8 kilometers and consist of seven underground stations, namely Thamrin, Monas, Harmoni, Sawah Besar, Mangga Besar, Glodok, and Kota.
Phase 2A is divided into two segments, namely segment one of the HI-Harmoni Roundabout which is targeted for completion in 2027, and the two Harmoni-Kota segment which is targeted for completion in 2029. The Jakarta MRT 2A phase was built at a cost of around Rp. 25.3 trillion through a cooperation loan fund between the Government of Indonesia and Japan.
Meanwhile, the phase 2B MRT Jakarta, which is planned to continue from Kota to Depo Ancol Barat, is still in the stage of preparing a feasibility study.
