PDIP Waits For Golkar's Certainty Regarding The Issue Of Joining The KIR Coalition

PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said his party was waiting for the formal stance of the Golkar Party regarding the claim of the chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) DPP Faisol Riza who stated that Golkar had agreed to join the Greater Indonesia Awakening (KIR) coalition.

"As part of political ethics, the PDI-P can only respond after the political party's formal stance," said Hasto, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 4.

Hasto said the process related to the cooperation of political parties would take place through the party mechanism, then each party that builds cooperation would communicate with each other.

As previously reported, the chairman of the DPP National Awakening Party (PKB) Faisol Riza claimed that Golkar had agreed to join forces to add members of the Greater Indonesia Awakening (KIR) coalition initiated by PKB and Gerindra.

"Golkar has a long experience in government, Gerindra and PKB need that to make Indonesia more advanced," said Faisol in a written statement received in Jakarta, Thursday.

This was said by Faisol when revealing the results of the meeting between the General Chairperson (Ketum) of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin and the Head of Golkar Airlangga Hartanto which took place at the Senayan Court Resto, Jakarta, Wednesday (3/5).

The PKB and Golkar cooperation scheme, said Faisol, is to prepare for the presidential election victory (pilpres) by strengthening the protection of Prabowo and Cak Imin as candidates for president (candidates) and vice presidential candidates (cawapres).

It is known that the Golkar Party together with PKB have appointed a winning team from each party representative. The Golkar Party is the chairman of the Golkar Party DPP Nusron Wahid, while the PKB is the chairman of the PKB DPP Faisol Reza.
