Jokowi To Lampung Tomorrow, Minister Of PUPR: No Order To Repair Extra-Fast Road Damage

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono revealed that there has been no extra-fast repair for road damage in Lampung.

Furthermore, Basuki said that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) would only review the physical condition of roads in the Lampung area, both district/city roads and provincial roads, on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

However, according to Basuki, the local government could survey which road points Jokowi will visit.

"Oh no.. no, there is no such order (extra-fast improvement). But survey yes, this is because what the President wants to visit," he said at the State Palace, Tuesday, May 2.

Furthermore, Basuki emphasized that local governments or authorities in the Lampung area have not been able to repair damaged roads.

"It's impossible. Where did he come from? The inpres is already there. There must be a DIPA (budget implementation list)," he said.

Regarding Jokowi's visit, Basuki revealed that there may be two to three road points. Basuki said, the road points to be reviewed are damaged and viral regional roads on social media (medsos).

"Check which one (is damaged), maybe the two three points he will come to," he said.
