JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will directly check the damaged road in Lampung which had gone viral on social media. The group of heads of state is scheduled to leave for Lampung tomorrow, Wednesday, May 3.

"Because of that, if social media is crowded, we will check the truth of the policy, the local government's policy in handling it," said Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono in the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, May 2, confiscated by Antara.

Basuki said the President plans to review road conditions in Lampung tomorrow, Wednesday, May 3. Basuki will accompany Jokowi around to inspect about two to three damaged road points.

The Minister of PUPR denied that the road hall agency under the Ministry of PUPR had repaired roads in Lampung quickly, before the President arrived.

"There is no such order yet. But surveys are yes. Maybe because what the President wants to visit. But I believe in implementation there is no order," he said.

The damaged road in Lampung, precisely at Simpang Randu-Seputih Surabaya, Rumbia District, Central Lampung Regency, has been in the spotlight on social media in recent weeks.

The damaged road in Lampung was in the spotlight after content creator from East Lampung Regency, Bima Yudho Saputro, expressed criticism about Lampung's development through Tiktok. Bima said Lampung had not made any progress because many roads were damaged.
