BRI Notes 12 Percent Increase In Transactions During The 2023 Eid Holiday

JAKARTA - As of March 2023, the BRILink Agent PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) has served the community in 58,813 villages, or more than 70 percent of the total number of villages throughout Indonesia.

BRI Micro Business Director Supari said in total, the number of Agent BRILinks has reached 650,000 agents spread across the country and is ready to serve the community.

"The total value of transactions reaching the public in these agents in the first 3 months of 2023 has reached Rp 325.65 trillion," he told the media quoted on Saturday, April 29.

He continued, the increase in AgentBRILink transactions also occurred during the Eid holiday period last year (May 2022), recorded 80,243,473 BRILink transactions compared to the same period in the previous year (May 2021) with 71,755,999 transactions.

This means that there is an increase in BRILink transactions by almost 12 percent.

"This shows that the presence of Agent BRILink has proven to be very much needed by the community during that period," added Supari.

With Agent BRILink, continued Supari, the public can be easier and closer to meeting transaction needs during the Ramadan period and Eid holidays starting from transfers, paying zakat, paying groceries at e-commerce, withdrawing cash through the BRImo Super App, and buying game vouchers. Likewise for Eid holiday needs such as money exchange, cash withdrawals from abroad, as well as payment of transportation tickets and homecoming accommodation.

He also assured the public not to refrain from asking for help and services to Agent BRILink spread throughout Indonesia. He ensured that Agent BRILink would not stop contributing to the community even during the holiday period.

As was the case during the Eid holiday period in 2023, Agent BRILink continues to provide the best banking services for the community.

"Among other things, it guarantees the ease of the community in transacting by utilizing available facilities, including the presence of Agent BRILink," he said.

Not only that, BRI also took the initiative to place Agent BRILink at strategic points from homecoming trips and backflow of the community. One of them is by collaborating with PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) to prevent the accumulation of passengers at large ports in Indonesia, namely Merak Port, Bakauheni Port, Ketapang Port, and Gilimanuk Port.

As is known, Agent BRILink has been able to facilitate the purchase of ferry tickets.

Beyond these needs, Agent BRILink also continues to serve the daily needs of the community, including payments for electricity, water bills, BPJS contributions, telephones, purchases of credit, installment payments, BRIZZI top-ups, loan deposits, providing referral services for opening BSA savings accounts and loans, and other transactions.
