COVID-19 Update As Of April 28: 2,067 New Cases, 1,310 Recovered
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 21,862 specimens were examined with the result that there were 2,067 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,771,072 people and active cases have increased by 720 to 11,849 cases," said COVID-19 Task Force data, Friday, April 28.
Today's recovered cases increased by 1,310 people, bringing the total to 6,597,965 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 37 cases and a total of 161,258 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 656 cases and a total of 1,56,243 cases. Followed by West Java with 405 new cases with a total of 1,243,646 cases. East Java 349 new cases and a total of 642,374 cases. Central Java 235 new cases and a total of 658,555 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 639 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 214 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 200 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 99 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 116,352,809.
"Positive results per number of people examined or this week's positivity rate of 10.69 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 2,004 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 203,831,761 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,870,718 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 68,739,017 and the fourth dose was 3,140,640. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
