Bawaslu Batang Finds Data Of 291 People Died Entering Election DPS
BATANG - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Batang Regency, Central Java, found that 291 residents who had died were included in the temporary voter list, as many as 77 voters with incomplete data elements and 165 dual voters.
Chairman of the Election Supervisory Agency of Batang Regency, Mahbrur, said that his party would provide improvement suggestions to the KPU regarding the findings of the data.
"Indeed, we have to be more careful in conducting funerals, especially in checking double data because there is no population identification number (NIK). At the temporary reduction of the voter list, we also need a new strategy because DPS copies only provide copies in a format without NIK," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, April 28.
Mahbrur invites election supervisors to the village level to continue to pay close attention to the temporary voter list.
"If there is an error in the temporary voter list data, we ask them to report immediately so that repairs can be made by the KPU immediately," he said.
Batang Khadik Regency Bawaslu member Anwar said that currently entering the socialization stage regarding the timing of the 2024 General Election and has not yet entered the campaign stage.

Currently, his party is still updating voter data, namely the preparation of a temporary voter list of improvement results (DPSHP) at the PPS, PPK, and KPU levels.
