Batik Air Prepares 23,616 Seats For Aviation To The ASEAN Summit In Labuan Bajo
JAKARTA - The national airline Batik Air is said to have provided 23,616 seats for flight access to Labuan Bajo during the ASEAN Summit in May.
Batik Air Corporate Communications Danang Mandala Prihantoro said the move was part of the company's commitment to the success of the government's strategic agenda.
"This is also our effort to popularize Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara as a leading destination as well as to host the 42nd ASEAN Summit," he said in a written statement on Friday, April 28.
Danang explained that Batik Air is preparing air access by operating Airbus 320-200NEO, Airbus 320-200CEO and Boeing 737-800NG aircraft.
"This flight was carried out directly (direct flight) from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang (CGK) and also I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali (DPS)," he said.

Danang hopes that the contribution of this flight service can make it easier for delegates and officials from ASEAN member countries to attend these important events.
"We are also targeting business people and tourists to come to Labuan Bajo. Batik Air helps strengthen diplomatic relations between these countries," he stressed.

The airline from the Lion Air Group claims that flight services from and to Labuan Bajo can help improve connectivity to raise the economic level.
