DAMRI Serves 423,674 Passengers During Eid Homecoming 2023
JAKARTA - DAMRI noted that it has served more than 423,674 passengers by taking more than 46.000 ritace during the Eid al-Fitr 1444 H or Lebaran 2023 homecoming period.
DAMRI's Corporate Secretary, Akhmad Zulfikri, said that this figure was a combination from the period D-10 to D+3 Lebaran.
"A total of 423,674 passengers show that the mobility of the Indonesian people during Lebaran using bus land transportation is still high, both for homecoming and backflow destinations, as well as for spending Eid leave," he said in Jakarta, Friday, April 28.
Zulfikri said the peak of the homecoming flow with DAMRI occurred on April 18 to 20 with a number of favorite routes being the Jakarta route to Lampung, Surabaya, Malang, Yogyakarta, and Wonosobo.
"And the route to and from Lampung, to Pontianak-Kuching state boundary services," he explained.
DAMRI also noted several areas with the highest number of passenger density on the homecoming flow, including departures from DAMRI Kemayoran Pool and Gambir Station.
"As for the backflow, it occurs on departures from the areas of Surabaya, Lampung, Purwokerto, and Wonosobo," he said.
During the Eid transportation period, Zulfikri said DAMRI also monitors and evaluates passenger movements through the provision of Lebaran Transportation Posts in several areas on the island of Java, namely Jabodetabek, Central Java, and East Java.
Specifically for the islands of Kalimantan, namely Pontianak, Palangkaraya, Samarinda, and Banjarmasin, also on the island of Sulawesi, namely Makassar, Manado, and Gorontalo. As well as in the island of Papua, namely Jayapura.
