Profit Of Hermina Hospital Down In The First Quarter Of 2023 So Only Rp136 Billion
JAKARTA - PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk (HEAL) recorded a decline in profit despite an increase in revenue of 11.87 percent in the first quarter of 2023.
Based on the company's financial report, quoted on Wednesday, April 26, HEAL recorded revenues of IDR 1.35 trillion until the first quarter of 2023. This revenue rose 11.87 percent from IDR 1.2 trillion compared to the same period last year or year-on-year (YoY).
In detail, revenue from the inpatient segment reached Rp780.1 billion, an increase of 2.62 percent, and the outpatient segment of Rp1.31 trillion, an increase of 11.48 percent. Meanwhile, the income post from outside the hospital consists of service rewards of Rp21.79 billion, KSO assets of Rp9.31 billion, and management revenues of Rp2.08 billion.
The increase in revenue was followed by an increase in cost of revenue by 19.75 percent. This burden increased from Rp706.75 billion to Rp846.35 billion in the first three months of 2023.
HEAL recorded a gross profit of IDR 506.24 billion in the first quarter of 2023. An increase of 0.78 percent from IDR 502.75 billion YoY.
However, HEAL recorded a decrease in net profit for the year by 5.53 percent from Rp144.86 billion to Rp136 billion in the first three months of 2023. The decline was due to the decrease in other net income, and financial income.
Other net income consists of rental income of Rp3.45 billion which decreased by 87 percent, fixed asset sales profit of Rp381 million increased by 204.8 percent, and other income of Rp4.7 billion, an increase of 156.73 percent.
Other net income fell 70.39 percent to Rp8.32 billion, and financial income fell 49.3 percent to Rp10.17 billion.

In addition, net profit for the year attributable to owners of the HEAL parent entity fell 2.1 percent. HEAL's profit fell from IDR 111.24 billion to IDR 108.9 billion in the first three months of 2023.
As for the end of March 2023, HEAL recorded an asset amount of IDR 7.9 trillion, an increase of IDR 7.59 trillion compared to the end of December 2022. The total HEAL liabilities reached IDR 3.06 trillion until the first quarter of 2023. This liabilities decreased from IDR 2.9 trillion as of December 31, 2022.
Meanwhile, the amount of HEAL equity reached IDR 4.83 trillion until the first three months of 2023, down from IDR 4.68 trillion from the end of 2022. Then for cash and banks at the end of the year there was an increase of 10.8 percent from IDR 721.02 billion to IDR 798.93 billion.
