Toyota BZ4x Completes The 42nd ASEAN Summit Operational Vehicle Fleet

JAKARTA - The number of electric car units for the 42nd ASEAN Summit has increased again. This time, PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) has prepared 65 units of Toyota bZ4x which will be used at the event which took place in May in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara.

Hiroyuki Ueda, as President of PT TAM, said that his party is very proud to be trusted as an electric car provider to fully support the mobility of non-emissional meetings at the 42nd ASEAN Summit.

"It is an honor for us to be able to actively participate in the success of this prestigious event for ASEAN countries. The selection of Toyota bZ4X is part of the strategy and reflection of the G20 Summit's experience to provide the best mobility experience for delegates," Ueda said in his official statement.

PT TAM also supports the Indonesian government in implementing the zero emission target by 2060.

Because of this, they will continue to increase the socialization of the use of electric vehicles, one of which is a pilot project for the electrification vehicle ecosystem (EV Smart Mobility) which takes place in Bali and Toba as an event to promote electrification vehicle technology to the public.

From now on, Toyota also offers a wide selection of electrified vehicles that include Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV).

Now, there are around 18 electrification vehicles that have been presented by PT TAM in the country. Until the end of March 2023, the total sales of electric vehicles reached 14,197 units.
