Papuan Provincial Government Reminds Companies To Pay THR For Eid Al-Fitr 2023 In The Form Of Non-Party Money
JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government reminded all companies on Earth of Cenderawasih to pay the Idulfitri 1444 Hijri Holiday Allowance (THR) to workers not in the form of parcels or goods, but must be in the form of cash. Acting Assistant for the Economy and People's Welfare of the Papua Regional Secretariat, Suzana Wanggai, said that besides that, his party also reminded that the payment of THR should not be in installments. "So that everything must be in accordance with the existing provisions, namely the payment must be in the form of cash," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, April 2. According to Suzana, THR payments must be given no later than seven days before religious holidays, which are in accordance with the direction of the Minister of Manpower. We ask that the company can pay attention to this, in order to ensure workers' welfare to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families, of course happily," he said. He explained, THR payments refer to Government Regulation number 36 of 2021 concerning wages and Permenaker number 6 of 2016 concerning payment of religious THR to workers or laborers.
