Different Views About Israel At The U20 World Cup, PDIP Will Sanction Gibran?
The PDI-P (PDIP) will not impose sanctions on Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka who will continue to welcome the Israeli national team if the U20 World Cup is held in Indonesia.
The statement of President Joko Widodo's eldest son (Jokowi) is believed to be just a common dynamic.
"There is no sanction for sanctions. Moreover, we are talking about good things about football," said PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, stating to reporters in the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 30.
Moreover, Hasto said, all regional heads from PDIP have the same perception about the U-20 World Cup. "Because yesterday we collected online," he said.
"Everything has the same policy, namely how we build good football to host well. Only then at the level of implementation, response, in each problem then there are different things. That's normal," continued Hasto.

Gibran as Mayor of Solo stated that his party is fully committed to supporting the U-20 World Cup. In fact, he was furious with the regional head who turned away from being the host even though he had previously signed a government guarantee in early 2022.
"Only one. If you beat it, you should have protested from the start. Why only now (after the Israeli national team passed the U-20 World Cup, ed). It should have been a long time ago," said Gibran, quoted from the Surakarta News YouTube channel, Tuesday, March 28.
As previously reported, FIFA officially revoked Indonesia's status as host of the U-20 World Cup due to the current situation in the country. This is allegedly due to the swift rejection of the Israeli team's participation in the U-20 World Cup.
The rejection also came from the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo and Bali Governor I Wayan Koster. In fact, Ganjar's Instagram account was invaded by Indonesian U-20 national team players who were disappointed.
