These 2 Survey Institutions Allegedly Paid By Kapuas Regent And His Wife Using SKPD Money And Bribe Results
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed that there were two survey institutions paid by Kapuas Regent Ben Brahim S. Bahat and his wife who are members of Commission III Ary Egahni.
The payment allegedly used money from the Regional Apparatus Work Unit (SKPD) as well as private parties as bribes related to plantation location permits. The two survey institutions that reportedly received the payment were Poltracking Indonesia and Indonesian Political Indicators.
"So far, the information we have received from the results of the examination is correct," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, March 29.
Even so, Ali did not want to talk much about paying the survey to build the image of Ben and Ary. He said the deepening would continue.
"Of course we need further investigations later in this ongoing investigation process," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK detained Kapuas Regent Ben Brahim with his wife, Ary on Tuesday, March 28. Both are suspected of having received money from the Regional Apparatus Work Unit (SKPD) and private parties as well as bribes related to the permit for the plantation location.
The money they received was allegedly used to compete in political contests, including financing Ary as a legislative candidate in 2019.
The amount of money received by Ben and Ary allegedly reached Rp8.7 billion, of which Rp2 billion was to pay for the survey. Even so, this number can still increase because the anti-corruption commission continues to move.
