Antonio Conte Finally Left Tottenham Hotspur, Club Immediately Appointed His Substitute
JAKARTA - Antonio Conte has left Tottenham Hotspur by mutual agreement. This decision was actually predicted after Conte's relationship with the club heated up recently.
The club has confirmed Cristian Stellini will be in charge of the team for the remainder of the season. While Ryan Mason was appointed as an assistant.
"We have 10 Premier League matches remaining and we have to fight for a place in the Champions League. We all have to work together," said club official, Daniel Levy, on their official website.
"Everyone must step up to ensure the highest possible completion for our club and the incredible loyal supporters."
Conte made the atmosphere in the Spurs dressing room heat up after being knocked out of the Champions League and FA Cup in the space of a week. The Lily Whites also lost more points in the race for fourth place in the English Premier League standings, after failing to win over Southampton.
After finding themselves 3-1 up at St Mary's with 13 minutes remaining, they then conceded twice and walked away with just one point. That fact left Conte furious in his post-match press conference.

The former Inter Milan and Juventus coach accused the players and owners of not having any responsibility. He stated that nothing would change even if he was dismissed from his role.
"We are not a team. We are 11 players who entered the field. I see selfish players, players who don't want to help each other and don't put their heart into it," Conte said at the time.
"Until now I tried to hide the situation but now, not anymore. It's always the same here, every season. The club has responsibility for the transfer market, the coach has responsibility. But the players, where are the players?"
"They are used to being here at Tottenham. They don't play for something important. They don't want to play under pressure. The story of Tottenham for 20 years has always been the same, they never won anything," he continued.
