Korem 162/Wira Bhakti Prepares Anoa Panzer To Guard The Vice President's Visit To NTB Tomorrow

NTB - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin is scheduled to visit West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) tomorrow Thursday, March 16. Security has been prepared by the TNI Military Resort Command (Korem) 162/Wira Bhakti.

Military Resort Commander 162/Wira Bhakti Brigadier General TNI Sudarwo Aris Nurcahyo said the TNI was alerting an armored vehicle defense equipment or an Anoa armored armored vehicle.

"So, securing the VVIP is an honor given by the state to us (the TNI, Polri and elements of the regional government) and we must carry out it with a full sense of responsibility considering that the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia is a representation of the state that must receive special security treatment," said Sudarwo during a joint troop rally at Sangkareang Field, Mataram City, NTB, Wednesday, March 15, confiscated by Antara.

Thus, he said, the TNI together with the police and security elements from the local government must always work together in carrying out VVIP security so that the activities of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia and his entourage while in the NTB Province run safely and smoothly.

Sudarwo also advised all personnel in charge to carry out their roles properly and maintain optimal coordination.

"Keep your attitude and behavior also during your duty, because in carrying out security, of course, you will have direct contact with the community, so prioritize security factors, both personnel and material, which are their respective responsibilities," he said.

In the troop rally, Sudarwo together with officials from the police and local governments also checked all readiness of personnel and defense equipment that would support security activities.

Regarding this, Sudarwo explained that the purpose of checking personnel and defense equipment was part of the readiness of security both individually and in the work area according to the procedures for maintaining VVIP.

"Given that each region has different geographical and cultural conditions, the security carried out must be adjusted to existing conditions. So, there is no routine term, but everything must be prepared properly starting from planning, implementation to the end of the activity," he said after the troop rally.

He also ensured that the joint personnel and defense equipment who will be in charge of securing the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia and their entourage with a two-day working visit agenda since Thursday, March 16, have understood and mastered procedures for carrying out their duties in the field.

During a two-day working visit to NTB, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia and his entourage planned to attend the 70th Anniversary of Nahdlatul Wathan.
