Sri Mulyani Confides Running Out of Hotels in Bali During Year-End Holidays: Evidence of a Recovering Economy
JAKARTA - The Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, admitted that she had the opportunity to enjoy a year-end holiday in Bali in December 2022. It was stated that she had two days to travel on the Island of the Gods.
In fact, said the Minister of Finance, he did not plan this. Opportunities arise when there are vacant agendas and it is possible to spend a few days relaxing.
"I have no holiday plans. But suddenly at the last minute, I had two days (vacation) at Christmas, so I finally went to Bali", she said while speaking at the BRI Microfinance Outlook 2023 Forum.
A moment later the unplanned vacation turned out to bring its own consequences. The state treasurer said that she had difficulty obtaining the desired accommodation.
“(Finally got) the hotel which we didn't want because the hotel was fully booked. So the Minister of Finance cannot order hotels because they are all full", she said.
