Black Eyed Peaks The Toy Company Is Almost IDR 150 Billion For Taking Benefit Of The Feasibility Of MyPOps Songs

United States music group Black Eyed Peas took legal action through the BMG publisher and asked for compensation of US$10 million or around Rp. 149,961,500,000, nearly Rp. 150 billion, to the MGA toy company suspected of embedding their song in one of the toy characters.

Quoted from NME on Monday, the toy character in question is "The Popuse Slime Surprise: Dancing Unicorn". By pressing a button in the stomach, this character can sing an identical song belonging to Aas titled MyPPs in terms of melody, chords, lyrics, and other elements. In addition, the voice character of the unicorn toy is very similar to that of the vocalist, Fergie.

The band represented by BMG claims that thePOpsie Slime Surprise company has made up tens of millions of US dollars by utilizing the fame of the song My Papers which was used to advertise the product. Meanwhile, the MGA company has not responded to this case.

The Black Eyed Pepas group itself is currently, as reported by Antara, completing a new album and hopes to immediately tour after a long wait of seven years.

"We've been working on active recordings over the past few months. Being able to go on tour again may be one of the best news for us after this pandemic. We like to travel, we like to perform. That's our fuel, the way we seek inspiration, stay creative and try new things," said Will.i.am.
