Ridwan Kamil Becomes Deputy Head Of Golkar And Becomes A Vote Getter, Observer: Not Only Loved By Young Mothers But Also Millennials

JABAR - Governor of West Java (West Java) Ridwan Kamil (RK) officially joined the Golkar Party. RK was appointed as Deputy Chairperson (Waketum) of Golkar in the field of voter raising and winning elections.

Research Director of Indonesia Political Research and Consulting (IPRC), Leo Agustin, assessed that there was a symbiotic mutualism between the Golkar Party and Ridwan Kamil. According to him, RK joining Golkar will have an electoral and strategic impact on the party bearing the banyan tree.

"By joining Kang Emil in Golkar, he has become a vote getter," said Leo in Jakarta, Thursday, January 19.

It is known that Golkar has set a fixed target for the top three political parties in the 2024 election. Golkar has also unanimously nominated its general chairman, Airlangga Hartarto, as the 2024 presidential candidate. In order to smooth this target, Golkar must automatically build strength and increase votes.

“Golkar must look for the best people in the regions. One of the best in West Java is Kang Emil, he is not only loved by young mothers, but also youth and millennial voters," said Lao.

According to him, the majority of voters in 2024 will be young people and their voices will be significant to gain.

On the other hand, RK joining Golkar will bring benefits to the man known as Kang Emil. In this case, the Golkar Party machine will help the former Bandung mayor increase his electability as a politician.

"Kang Emil needs a backing, like it or not who can support him in various policies, both at the local and national levels. Not just a backrest, Kang Emil needs a political machine that can boost his voice," explained Leo.

Even if RK will not compete in the 2024 presidential election, said Leo, he will prepare himself for the 2024 West Java Pilgub. "There is an opportunity for him to openly only use the Golkar party machine to campaign at the national level, but it can be at the provincial level," said Leo.

Previously, it was announced that Ridwan Kamil had officially joined Golkar by wearing a yellow jacket and given a membership card (KTA). RK has also been assigned by Airlangga as the co-chair or Waketum for raising voters and winning the Golkar Party DPP election.

"Of course, Mr. Emil will be given tasks later, one of which is to rally voters and to win the election," said Airlangga at the Golkar Party DPP Office, Wednesday, January 18, evening.

Airlangga asked Ridwan Kamil to strengthen Golkar's position in West Java. He said that Ridwan Kamil must try to increase Golkar's votes in 2024.

"So it's really up to Mr. Airlangga. Earlier Mr. Airlangga was kind enough to put me in the position of Deputy Chairperson at Voter Raising and Bappilu's concern," continued Ridwan Kamil.

Ridwan ensured that he would comply with the party's decision and win Airlangga Hartarto as president in 2024.

"I am the fatsun regarding organizational decisions, so I will narrate wherever the party's decisions regarding Mr. Airlangga as presidential candidate," he said.
