Caring For The Environment, Blackmores Indonesia Managed To Collect More Than 3,700 Plastic Bottle Waste
JAKARTA - PT Kalbe Blackmores Nutrition (Blackmores Indonesia) through its superior product Blackmores Odorless Fish Oil continues to be committed to realizing concern for environmental cleanliness, especially marine ecosystems through the Blackmores Cares 'Bottle Exchange' program.
Through this program, Blackmores Indonesia has succeeded in inviting the public to collect 3,783 plastic bottles of used vitamins which will later be managed or recycled so as not to increase the amount of plastic waste that pollutes the sea.
Plastic waste, including plastic bottles, is still an important issue as well as a challenge for Indonesia and needs to be a priority for all parties, because it can have a broad impact on marine ecosystems and human health. Of the 10 million metric tons of waste that washes into the sea, 10 percent comes from land.
In fact, if processed properly, recycled plastic waste can generate a profit of IDR 16,379,472 per month from the production of 48 tons of plastic waste. For this reason, collaboration and commitment from all parties are needed to overcome the problem of plastic waste so that it can be managed or recycled properly.
Country Head of Kalbe Blackmores Nutrition, Dickson Susanto said, Blackmores believes that maintaining the sustainability and health of the marine environment is an important thing to do together in order to create a clean marine ecosystem as the start of health.
"For this reason, in line with the government's target of reducing plastic waste in the sea by 70 percent by 2025, Blackmores Indonesia has implemented the Blackmores Cares program 'Swapping Bottles' which is a joint step to make it easier for people to manage plastic bottle waste for the quality of the environment and life of Indonesia which is better," explained Dickson in his statement, Wednesday, January 18.
Globally, for more than 90 years Blackmores has been committed to providing the best nutrition from nature as well as to quality and environmental sustainability. For this reason, as a supplement product sourced from marine fish oil with benefits to help maintain the daily health of the body, Blackmores Odorless Fish Oil continues to be committed to maintaining product quality and the environment in tandem, starting from ensuring the quality of selected sources of fish oil, modern packaging to product waste problems. which must also be considered.
Therefore, Blackmores continues to support various efforts that can encourage the reduction or pollution of plastic waste in the sea.
