Apple Increases iPhone Battery Replacement Prices Starting March 1, Here's the List!
JAKARTA - Replacement batteries for iPhones or other Apple-owned smart devices usually don't cost much, but starting March 1, the company will soon increase the price.
"The current out-of-warranty battery service fee will be in effect until the end of February 2023. Starting March 1, 2023, the out-of-warranty battery service fee will be increased by $20 (IDR 312 thousand) for all iPhone models prior to iPhone 14," says the replacement notification page. According to the page, the increase in fees is not only imposed on iPhone users, but also iPad and Mac owners who do not have a warranty.
"The out-of-warranty battery service fee will be increased by $20 for the following iPad models, iPad Pro 12.9 (5th generation and earlier), iPad Pro 11 (3rd and earlier), iPad Pro 10.5, iPad Pro 9.7, iPad mini (6th generation and earlier), and iPad Air (5th generation and earlier)," wrote the notification page.
Meanwhile for Macs, the price increase is greater, namely USD 30, equivalent to IDR 468 thousand for all MacBook Air models and USD 50, equivalent to IDR 780 thousand for all MacBook and MacBook Pro models.

Thankfully, there's no price increase for replacement Apple Watch batteries or Apple TV remotes. Apple's self-service repair shop is currently not mentioning a price increase, though it's more likely that that will be in March as well.
For owners of Apple smart devices with damaged batteries and want to replace them, this means that they must be as soon as possible so that they are not subject to this high new price.
