BMKG Predicts Light Rain To Fall In Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya To Samarinda Today
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that DKI Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Samarinda, and several major cities in Indonesia will receive light rain today, Tuesday 29 November.
Quoting the BMKG website via Antara, it was stated that Sumatra Island is predicted to be cloudy for the Bandar Lampung region, light intensity rain for the Palembang area, and we need to watch out for rain accompanied by lightning for the Pangkalpinang area.
The Padang area is predicted to be cloudy and there is the potential for light rain in the Bengkulu area and rain accompanied by lightning in the Jambi area.
Light-intensity rain is forecast for the Banda Aceh, Pekanbaru, Tanjung Pinang areas, and moderate-intensity rain is forecast for the Medan area.
For Java Island, it is predicted to be cloudy in the Serang area, and light-intensity rain in the Jakarta area. However, there is potential for moderate-intensity rain in the Bandung area.
The Yogyakarta City area is predicted to be cloudy, followed by light-intensity rain in the Surabaya area, and moderate-intensity rain in Semarang.
In the Denpasar and Nusa Tenggara regions, light-intensity rain is forecast for the Denpasar area and caution needs to be taken for rain accompanied by lightning for the Mataram and Kupang areas.

On the island of Kalimantan, it is predicted that light-intensity rain will occur in the Palangkaraya and Samarinda areas, then moderate-intensity rain will occur in the Pontianak area. Furthermore, for the cities of Banjarmasin and Tanjung Selor, light-intensity rain is predicted.
Sulawesi Island, is predicted to rain with light intensity in the Palu area, then moderate intensity rain in the Gorontalo area, and rain with heavy intensity in the Makassar area.
Rain with light intensity in the Mamuju area, and moderate intensity rain in the Kendari area. However, you need to be aware of rain accompanied by lightning in the Manado area.
In eastern Indonesia, it is forecasted to be cloudy in the Jayapura area, then rain with light intensity in the Ternate, Manokwari and Ambon areas.
