COVID-19 Update as of November 18: New Cases 6,699, Active Cases 61,284
JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 78,477 specimens were examined with the results of 6,699 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,596,812 people and active cases have increased by 813 to 61,287 cases", said Task Force data, Friday, November 18.
Today's recovered cases increased by 5,854 cases, bringing the total to 6,376,205 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmation that died was 32 and the total was 159,323 people.
The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 2,798 cases and a total of 1,488,935 cases. Followed by West Java with 1,239 new cases with a total of 1,205,584 cases. Banten has 722 new cases and a total of 625,215 cases. Then, East Java with 656 new cases and a total of 352,090 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,793 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 749 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 648 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 575 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 111,660,489.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 15.78 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 6,207 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 205,292,523 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 172,182,185 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 65,960,895 and the fourth dose was 714,888. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
