Improve Services, Angkasa Pura I Will Offer YIA Airport To Investors
JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) has included Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) in the list of airports that will be offered to investors. Currently, the process is still in the exploratory stage.
President Director of Angkasa Pura I, Faik Fahmi, said the communication process had been carried out. However, said Faik, his party is still looking for a strategic partnership or the right strategic partner to carry out the cooperation.
Faik said, the collaboration aims to improve flight services at YIA Airport, especially international flights to and from Yogyakarta.
"Including YIA, we offer to cooperate with strategic partners. If we see YIA was built based on problems as well as opportunities, we will build an airport that can accommodate the largest aircraft with a runway," he said at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises Building, Jakarta, Monday, November 7.
Faik explained that his party has divided the managed airports into four main clusters. Where, one of the clusters is the International Transit and Industrial Hub. This cluster consists of two sub-clusters, namely, International Transit and Industrial Hub.
YIA Airport, Yogyakarta Adisutjipto Airport, Adi Soemarmo Airport Surakarta, and General Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang are included in the International Transit Hub sub-cluster. Meanwhile, another sub-cluster is the Industrial Hub which consists of Juanda Airport Surabaya.
