Minister of Religion Yaqut Specially Invited by Saudi Arabia to be the Main Guest of the 2023 Hajj Conference
JAKARTA - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia invited the Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas as the main guest in the Hajj Congress which will take place in Saudi Arabia in January 2023.
"We will invite His Excellency Mr. Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas to be able to attend as the main guest at the Hajj Congress in Saudi Arabia in January 2023", said the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia Tawfiq F. Rabiah after holding a meeting at the Ministry of Religion Building, Monday, October 24, as reported by Antara.
Tawfiq said the Hajj congress would discuss the records of the implementation of the Hajj and improving the quality of Hajj services, including the notes submitted by the Minister of Religion Yaqut regarding the implementation of the Indonesian Hajj.
During the meeting of the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, Minister of Religion Yaqut conveyed several notes such as the possibility of increasing quotas, earlier release of quotas from the Government of Saudi Arabia, lifting of age restrictions, as well as convenience for Indonesian health workers in Mina.
Tawfiq said the two sides also discussed strategic partnerships and procedural conveniences for the arrival of Indonesian Umrah pilgrims to achieve the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 program.
"The close Saudi-Indonesian relationship emphasizes that this (meeting) motivates both parties to improve digital solutions under the umbrella of the Dhuyuf Al Rahman service program (one of the Saudi vision 2030 programs)", said Tawfiq.
According to Tawfiq, his communication with the Minister of Religion of Yaqut continues to run intensively to improve the quality of services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. "This is the most important part of efforts to improve the best service that we must provide to pilgrims for Hajj and Umrah", he said.
