State Civil Apparatus Arrested by Detachment 88 in Sampang Allegedly by Jamaah Islamiah Network
SAMPANG - Sampang Police Chief, AKBP Arman, explained that the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) arrested by the Anti-terror Detachment 88 (Densus 88) at the National Police Headquarters on October 13 was suspected of being a terrorist from the Jamaah Islamiah (JI) network, the Regional Coordinator in Madura, East Java.
"So the person in question is an administrator of the Regional Coordinator of the Jamaah Islamiah on Madura Island, East Java", he said as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 17.
The ASN who was arrested with the initials S. The team was arrested around the Sampang City Monument area on October 13, 2022, at around 17.30 WIB.
Furthermore, on October 14, 2022, the Anti-terror Detachment 88 Team at the National Police Headquarters searched S's rented house on Merapi Sampang Street.
"During the arrest and search, some personnel from the Sampang Police and the Sampang City Police carried out security, and during the search, they were witnessed by the local RT management", he said.
The ASN who was arrested by the police for allegedly being involved in the Jemaah Islamiah terrorist network has been a teacher at the Rongtengah 5 Public Elementary School (SDN) since 2017, he explained.

Regarding this incident, Police Chief AKBP Arman appealed to the public to be more careful so as not to fall into the terrorist network because this group can recruit anyone.
"The community must be vigilant, RT heads must know in detail the residents, and if there are suspicious things, immediately report to Bhabimkamtibmas, the nearest police station, or directly to the Sampang Police", he said.
