Victim Dragged by the Flood in Karangasem Bali Found Dead
KANGASEM - The joint SAR team found victims of a flash flood in Santi Village, Selat District, Karangasem Regency, Bali.
The victim, I Gusti Ngurah Wedana Putra (8) was found dead. Previously, the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office/Basarnas Bali received reports that two brothers and sisters were victims when their house was hit by a flood.
"The disaster occurred at around 04.00 WITA. One victim, Gusti Ayu Pradnya Aprilianti (11) was found dead shortly after the incident", said the Coordinator of the Search and Rescue Post for the Karangasem Basarnas I Gusti Ngurah Eka Widnyana, Monday, October 17.
After receiving information about the incident, 11 personnel of the Karangasem SAR Post headed to the scene, joining other SAR elements to search.
At 09.23 WITA, the joint SAR team searched the Ketapang Selat River, Shanti Village heading west.

After more than four hours, finally, the body of I Gusti Ngurah Wedana Putra was found in the Ketapang River, approximately 10 meters to the west of the victim's house.
Meanwhile, his parents, namely I Gusti Ngurah Suparta and I Gusti Ayu Kartini and another child named I Gusti Ayu Trisna Dewi (17) survived death.
"Furthermore, the victim was evacuated to the Karangasem Strait Health Center", she said.
