3 Reasons For Rizky Billar's Immediately Free After Lesti Kejora Withdraws The Domestic Violence Report
JAKARTA - Lesti Kejora has withdrawn reports of alleged domestic violence (KDRT) committed by her husband, Rizky Billar. The revocation was only a minute apart from Billar's announcement of Billar's detention.
The police had announced that they would detain Billar for 20 days for questioning. During a press conference, Lesti came to the South Jakarta Police to meet Billar. Shortly after, news emerged of Lesti and Billar hugging in peace.
Even though Lesti had withdrawn the report, Billar could not go straight home. Here are three reasons.
1. Follow the procedure "Not necessarily if he (Rizky Billar) is released. Not like that," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Endra Zulpan, Friday, October 14.
Zulpan emphasized that police investigators had processed the report to several stages. So according to Zulpan, investigators will also process the request for revocation of the report according to existing procedures.
"Now the authority is in the hands of the investigator. The process is already in the process of being investigated, and has even named a suspect and detention, this must be respected," he said.
2. The official application letter has not yet been submitted, Zulpan also explained that the police have not received an official application letter for the revocation of the report. Rizky Billar's attorney, Surya Darma Simbolon, confirmed that Lesti Kejora had withdrawn her report. This was witnessed directly by the attorney from Lesti Kejora, Sandi Arifin.
"The revocation letter has been revoked and has been signed. The letter has been given directly. Physically it is already above," said Surya at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Thursday, October 13. The police will wait for the letter to be sent officially.
3. Restorative justice mechanism Kasie Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Nurma Dewi said that the two couples had to go through a process. Nurma explained that Lesti had to undergo a restorative justice mechanism (case settlement).
However, in this case, his party has issued a detention letter, therefore the revocation is not only from the reporting party. "For example, this must indeed be the revocation of the police report, there is such a thing as restorative justice mediation. We have issued a detention warrant that must be revoked from our side, not only from his side," he concluded.
