Residents' House On Pramuka Street Caught Fire After Being Struck By Lightning
JAKARTA – A two-story house on Pramuka Raya Street, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta caught fire due to a lightning strike. The incident occurred during heavy rains in the Matraman area, East Jakarta, Tuesday afternoon, October 11.
Although the fire did not get bigger, the electricity that was on made several residents rush out of their homes for fear of being stung.
"There was a big lightning bolt, it grabbed the cable. It kept coming out of the smoke and immediately ignited (the fire)", said Lastri, a resident, Tuesday, October 11, in the afternoon.

"(voice) It's not big anymore, three times. Yes, fortunately, Alhamdulillah, it was immediately handled. If it's not handled, it's finished. This is not a shop but a place to live", she said.
Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. officers who arrived at the location tried to extinguish the fire.
"It happened when it rained really hard, it rained again. Lightning hit the water, and all of them electrocuted. The water just stung, so no one dared to hold the water", she said.
Meanwhile, PLN officers who arrived at the location immediately handled the electricity flow. Meanwhile, Gulkarmat officers managed to extinguish the fire.
