Creating A Culture Of Compliance As It Travels

RIAU - The Directorate General of Land Transportation (Ditjen Hubdat) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) continues to strive to improve road transportation safety. This includes enforcing community compliance when driving on the road.

"Inspection of motorized vehicles on the road is basically aimed at encouraging traffic compliance and culture, ensuring the fulfillment of technical requirements, roadworthiness for motor vehicles, and completeness of public transport documents," said Secretary of the Directorate General of Land Transportation, Marta Hardisarwono, Wednesday, November 25.

This was conveyed by him at the 2020 PPNS Field LLAJ Technical Working Meeting. Bearing in mind that the implementation of land transportation is orderly, transparent, and has integrity.

Based on Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation, provisions regarding the inspection of motorized vehicles on the road and prosecution of road traffic and transportation violations that require clarity in application in the field are regulated through government regulations.

"Such as the strategic issues concerning the restructuring of the field of law, especially related to the implementation of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning LLAJ where a new paradigm is needed in viewing the implementation of land transportation," explained Marta.

He continued, Marta hopes that the holding of this Rakernis can improve the performance of PPNS in order to equalize the vision, mission and movement as well as steps in carrying out the mandate of Law Number 22 of 2009.

The activity was attended by 80 participants who came from PPNS in the LLAJ sector within the Directorate General of Land Transportation and the Provincial / Regency / City Transportation Service throughout Indonesia.
