Indonesian National Movement Champion Pushes Ridwan Kamil Forward to 2024 Presidential Election
JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Champion Movement Organization (GNIJ) encourages the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil to become a presidential candidate in the 2024 General Election. They view Ridwan Kamil as worthy of becoming a leader on a national scale.
This was stated at the GNIJ national leadership meeting (Rapimnas) at the Hotel Borobudur, Central Jakarta.
"GNIJ unanimously encourages and supports Ridwan Kamil to come forward and participate in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Ridwan Kamil is worthy and capable of becoming Indonesia's leader", said GNIJ Secretary General Suhara Iskandar in a statement, Monday, October 10.
On the sidelines of the National Meeting, GNIJ also invited the community to exercise together after approximately two years of COVID-19 hitting. The goal is none other than to encourage people to get up after being hit by the pandemic.
The exercise took place at the Proclamation Monument involving thousands of participants, the majority of whom were mothers.
"There were about two thousand people who participated", he said.
The RK Indonesia Champion Gymnastics has been held three times. First in Bandung, second in Bogor, and third in Jakarta. Suhara said that the RK Indonesia Champion Gymnastics was initiated by the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil after the COVID-19 pandemic began to subside.
"During the pandemic, the public up to gymnastics activities are also limited", said Suhara.

For this reason, after the COVID-19 pandemic subsided, the RK Indonesia Champion Gymnastics was encouraged. GNIJ as an organization that always accompanies Ridwan Kamil's steps also participates in campaigning for gymnastics. Similar agendas will be held throughout Indonesia, starting from West Java and Jakarta.
Through this exercise, GNIJ wants to restore and re-invigorate the community's spirit in the midst of a pandemic. Because, even though it has been sloping, the government has not announced that the COVID-19 pandemic has ended.
"Mr. RK (Ridwan Kamil) wants, through this exercise, hopefully, something good will arise and become a spirit for us together", he concluded.
