The Attorney General's Office to Combine 2 Cases of the Murder of Brigadier J and Obstruction of Justice Ferdy Sambo

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) decided to unite the two cases that ensnared Ferdy Sambo as a suspect. Later, the former Head of the Police's Professional and Security Division will only undergo one trial.

"For the effectiveness of our trial, we are combined", said the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum) at the Attorney General's Office, Fadil Zumhana, to reporters, Wednesday, September 28.

The two cases are the premeditated murder of Brigadier J and obstruction of justice.

But the merging of files is only for Ferdy Sambo, aka does not apply to other suspects. Because only Putri Candrawati's husband has the status of a suspect in two cases.

The merger of these case files is by Article 141 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Thus, the trial process will be more effective.

"We combine them into one indictment, the first and second are cumulative Concursus realists", said Fadil.

In the case of the premeditated murder of Brigadier J, Ferdy Sambo was charged with Article 340 subsidiary 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.

As for obstruction of justice, the former Head of the Police's Professional and Security Division is suspected of violating Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 and/or Article 48 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 32 paragraph (1) Number 19 of 2016 UU ITE. In addition, they were also charged with Article 55 paragraph (1) and/or Article 221 paragraph (1) 2 and/or Article 233 of the Criminal Code.
