Motorcycle Swayed, A Rider In South Jakarta Hits Tree To Death

JAKARTA - A motorcyclist with the initials PNJ (67) died on the spot, after hitting a tree in the area of Letjend Soepeno Street, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

The Head of Traffic Directorate of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Sigit Prabowo, said the incident occurred on Tuesday, September 20, at 11.00 WIB.

The incident began when the motorcyclist was traveling from east to west. However, upon arrival at the crime scene (TKP), the victim swayed and hit a tree, causing injuries to the head.

"Right in front of the cover glass shop, he lost control, he swerved to the left and hit a tree, causing injuries to his head and he died at the scene and suffered material damage to the vehicle," said Sigit in a written statement, Tuesday, September 20.

When asked about the cause of the accident, Sigit admitted that he was still investigating the case. Now the victim has been evacuated.

"(The cause) is still under investigation," he concluded.
