COVID-19 Update as of September 20: 2,518 New Cases, DKI Jakarta Record Most Additions
JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 77,976 specimens were examined with 2,518 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,412,944 and active cases have fallen by 30 to 26,035", said Task Force data, Tuesday, September 20.
Today's recovered cases increased by 2,533 cases, bringing the total to 6,228,979 recovered people. Then, there were 15 positive confirmed deaths and a total of 157,930 people.
The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 952 cases and a total of 1,481,578 cases. Followed by West Java with 485 new cases with a total of 1,176,693 cases. East Java has 263 new cases and a total of 603,248 cases. Then, Banten with 250 new cases and a total of 335,545 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 904 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 758 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 211 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 137 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 108,081,378.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 7.80 percent", it wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 2,971 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
