Rockstar Games Admits 90 GTA 6 Gameplay Clips Were Leaked, Development Still Ongoing
JAKARTA - Rockstar Games has finally spoken about the alleged data leak issue in the form of 90 gameplay video clips from the latest Grand Theft Auto installment, GTA 6 two days ago.
In a statement they sent via Twitter, the studio acknowledged the truth of the clip, that it was a development recording of GTA 6.
"We recently experienced a network outage where an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto," Rockstar Games wrote on Twitter.
The studio also acknowledges that at this time they do not anticipate any disruption to live game services or any long-term effects on the ongoing development of the project.
"We are very disappointed that the details of our next game are shared with all of you in this way."
Rockstar said, all of its workers will continue the process of developing the next Grand Theft Auto game according to the original plan.
