This Afternoon, Hundreds Of Students Still Fill Medan Merdeka Barat Road Section, Rejecting The Increase Fuel Prices
JAKARTA - Several student elements from various campuses still filled the Horse Statue area, on Medan Merdeka Barat Street, Gambir, Central Jakarta on Thursday, September 15, afternoon.
They again conveyed the demonstration related to the rejection of the increase in the price of fuel oil (BBM). As of 16.50 WIB, hundreds of students were still holding out in the Horse Statue area. Some of them were scattered and began to disperse.
"Given the opportunity to express aspirations, we must respect ethics, norms, and rules. Let's keep it peaceful and orderly", said a police officer from a loudspeaker car, Thursday, September 15, afternoon.
The police are also seen continuing to tighten their guard behind the barbed wire barricades that cross the Medan Merdeka Barat Street section.

Demonstrations against the increase in fuel oil prices (BBM) continue to be held. In fact, today there are at least six locations for mass action.
"The number of alliances or groups is 6 with a mass of approximately 2,000 people", said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner E. Zulpan, to reporters on Thursday, September 15.
Six locations for the demonstration were spread across Jakarta, Bekasi, to Depok. In detail, BEM Universitas Bina Sarana Informatics (BEM BSI) and the Student Action Front of Pelita Bangsa University (UPB) will hold an action in the Horse Statue area, Central Jakarta.
