PSG 2-1 Juventus, Kylian Mbappe: If the Champions League Was Easy, We'd Have Won It

JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain won their first match in the 2022/2023 Champions League. The French Ligue 1 club beat Juventus with a score of 2-1 while playing at the Parc des Princes, Wednesday, September 7, early morning of GMT+7 (Western Indonesian Time or WIB).

Kylian Mbappe became the star in this match. He scored two PSG winning goals.

However, Mbappe reminded his colleagues not to be careless. According to him, the Champions League will not be easy for them even though they managed to beat Juventus in the first match.

"We have a lot to work on and that's normal. This is the Champions League. If it was easy, we would have won it by now," Mbappe said in his post-match interview with RMC.

Mbappe saw that there was a slight difference in the team's performances in the first and second half. That's what makes him feel PSG still has some shortcomings.

"In the second half, we should have controlled the game better, but it doesn't matter. We can't think about it too much," Mbappe said.

"This is just the beginning, we have to improve. We also see we can do some good things," he continued.

With this result, PSG is in second place in Group H standings with three points. They only lost on goal difference to Benfica at the top of the table thanks to a 2-0 win over Maccabi Haifa.
