Simprug Fire Victims Get Materials Assistance To Build Their Houses

JAKARTA - As many as 50 house owners were affected by the Simprug Golf fire, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta rebuilt buildings during the recovery period. The victims also received construction materials from donors.

"Approximately 50 percent of the 102 homeowners have started constructing or constructing buildings," said Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Head Iwan Santoso in Kampung Main Cipulir, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 6.

Iwan said that previously residents had cleaned the house of garbage and debris from the fire so that it could be occupied again.

In addition, Iwan said the Kebayoran Lama District would continue to monitor the post-fire assistance distributed to residents ranging from population administration, refugee camps, to daily needs.

In fact, not only the government, volunteers and donors also contribute by distributing clothing and food every day.

Not only that, according to Iwan, gradually every week the volunteers and donors also began to provide assistance in the form of building materials and money to help residents who were starting to build their houses.

In addition, 420 school supplies are also provided for children so they can return to their normal activities at school.

"Hopefully the head of the affected family will recover soon and return to normal life," Iwan hoped.
