1,173 Ready Police DWG Menteri G20 Level In Belitung
PANGKALPINANG - The Bangka Belitung Islands Regional Police is ready to deploy 1,173 personnel to secure the G20 Development Working Group (DWG) event on Belitung Island from 7 to 9 September 2022.
"The Indonesian Army (TNI) and we are ready to secure the G20 in Belitung later", said the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Yan Sultra in Pangkalpinang as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 27.
In securing the G20 Development Ministerial Level meeting on Belitung Island later, the Bangka Belitung Islands Police not only deployed 1,173 personnel but also 1,000 vehicles, helicopters, and the Bomb Disposal Team from the Brimob Police Corps.
"D-5 later all personnel will be in Belitung and D-1 will have sterilized at the meeting points of the G20 Development Ministerial Level", he said.
The Bangka Belitung Police Chief said that in securing the G20 in Belitung later, the Regional Police would involve the TNI.
"We also involve colleagues from the TNI, later according to their placement", he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Information for Korem 045/Gaya, Major Inf Subkhan, stated that the TNI is ready to assist the Police in securing the G20 in Belitung later.
According to him, the G20 event in Belitung will later be visited by delegates from various countries, so that it can have an impact on increasing investment and the economy of the people in the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands, especially Belitung.
"The TNI will deploy soldiers who have been prepared by the Indonesian National Army operational staff to make the G20 a success", he said.
